Very interesting article. Thanks for posting the link.

At my skill level, I don't think it would even be worth it for me to consider a brazilian rosewood guitar. I doubt I'd be able to hear the difference. :lol:

Your skill level has nothing to do with your ear. I was told a long time ago that it's easier to learn on a better guitar. You put the rosewood piece against a mahogany piece and even with your so called "non-ear" you will hear the difference.

I own a Blueridge BR-63 that is also called Brazilian.
In reality it's not.
Probably Cocobolo or some other close relative to Brazilian.
By the way, both mine and the one in the link are indeed laminated.
Blueridge has taken some heat for calling some of their guitars Brazilian

I have to admit that mine is a great looking and very good sounding guitar.
