Aghast in Las Vegas!!!

Okay so, the JCK convention has been here in Vegas since Thursday. It means Jeweler's Circular Keystone and it's the LARGEST jewelry and gemstone exhibit in the world, pretty much. This year they moved to Mandalay Bay Resort, Hotel, and Casino, where I work. I used to deal with it before when it was at the Sands Convention Center, aka the Venetian. So I know security is really HIGH and I also know it's a big deal..... but I was riding the elevator to my truck last night and overheard a Metro Police Officer talking to a Mandalay Bay exec., and he mentioned that the entire jewelry and gemstone collection there was insured for OVER 63 BILLION DOLLARS!!!

That number was a bit startling to me. Just think of what fun guitar shopping would be with a budget like that!!

I just wanted to share that info with y'all..... Jeeze.

But seriously, that is an incomprehensible amount of money. I think that, before ya went guitar shopping, you'd have to buy a small warehouse !
