Very much a real voice with projection and resonance - the kind that can take out windows. She could have been a singer in an era before mics and PAs. With training (which would ruin her for pop music if she couldn't turn it off), she would have made a great opera singer. I understand that she did have to go for vocal coaching at one point to learn how to use her voice without damaging it as she was in danger of losing it because of the stress of near constant tour performances.

Her new stuff is getting mixed reviews - I generally find that mixed reviews mean that whatever is being reviewed will be interesting. I will have to check out more of it.

Am I looking at the right link. I watched a minute of nothing happening except someone taking a phone call. Should I continue?

Yes, it's a video that tells a story about her breakup (listen to the phone call), song starts at 1:40.

She's an amazing talent. I just about beat my acoustic to death playing Rolling in the Deep over and over when that song came out.

There's a great story about her making the demo when she was seriously angry and they just couldn't replicate the emotion in the studio so used the demo on the record. https://www.digitalspy.com/music/a800627/adele-surprising-stories-behind-six-big-hits/

Not a huge fan of her, but "Rolling in the Deep" was one of the first song my kids learned on the drums, so I joined in and played the guitar. Good memories :)

If anyone is interested, here's Tim Pierce playing and talking about playing guitar over the Adele track. He readily admits the track is perfect as is, but shows some cool techniques of what might be a way to add guitar to it. Really a fun video and very interesting. His YouTube channel is great!
