Here's a nice collection of pics from the Acoustic Blues Workshop/Festival at Fort Worden in Port Townsend.

This is a nice, very informal event... not too big, not too small and lots of interaction and jamming as well as classes and performance opportunities. The public shows up at the end of the week for 2 shows at McCurdy Pavilion highlighting the teachers, and the last 2 nights (Fri & Sat) there are blues shows in all the clubs in town, partial schedule here:

If you're not interested in the classes/workshops, you can just come to the shows in the Pavilion and/or the shows in the clubs on the weekend at the end of the workshop... very cool!

Man, I'd love to go to that. We used to take the ferry from Whidbey Island to Pt. Townsend, go to Port Angeles and down the coast to the Olympic Rain Forest :D

Hey, Joe, I was at that Fort a few years ago when the town was having a road race... I was actually in Seattle for a conference and visited Port Townsend for a day. What a cool place!

If you are a serious golfer, don't miss playing the 27 holes at Port Ludlow!

For those who might not know, the Fort and Port Townsend is where the 80's movie, "An Officer and a Gentleman" was filmed.

Quite a few years ago, my significant other and I stayed in the same room where most of the "action" took place. We attempted to recreate most of the scenes. I think I threw my back out pretty good!
I did NOT have a guitar with me that weekend.
Wasn't it (is it still) the Tides Inn, or something like that?

I think it's still the Tides... sounds like you didn't need a guitar that weekend anyway.
