well the Epiphone looks to be long scale.
So Guild it is! try to get one with maple back and sides. even if it must be Jumbo Jr. it's still a bass tuned to pitch. good luck!

Funny thing...looking at how she's holding it, it probably doesn't matter if its long or short scales since she has so much of the instrument off to her right. I guess its more about ergonomics than scale length, or at least a combination thereof.
I would love to try a few models, but every music store near me has a grand total of one ABG, and its often the same model!

Perhaps. But the way I notice scale length is with my fretting hand. Specifically the distances between frets. The body of the instrument has a much greater effect on how I hold and play it than scale length does.
