Great stuff Gary; maybe we should collect up a bunch of pairs of endangered US species and Noah's-Ark them down there ... they'll have a better chance than if they stayed here. :( 8)

John, I cringe at hearing "endangered" over and over and over. Quite frankly, I think that human beings are expendable; endangered animals are not !

Ok; instead, we'll round up land developers, send them down there, and you can feed them to the cheetahs. Yes; it's appalling ... thanks to the tanked US economy, we have a respite from the process of converting farms/exurban land/wildlife habitat to homebuilding.

I'll send you my iguanas too ... and I don't care what you do with them. :D

Thanks fella's.

When we visit Orana Park ( it's in Christchurch, 200 miles through the mountains ), my visiting time is divided pretty much equally between watching the Cheetahs and watching the Otters. I don't look at much else. I could watch those little Otties all day !

The otters have always been our favorites at the Columbus Zoo, too, G. When my kids were little, we were there all the time because it's only three miles away.

River otters were reintroduced to several Ohio streams in the past decade. They are making a comeback.
