There’s only one Gibson I really covet; a ‘54 LP Custom. Ever since I heard one amongst Gibsons of many years on a Johan Segeborn video, this particular model with its unique pickup arrangement really popped for me. It’s why I got my Tele with the Lollar Alnico Vs. Of course vintage ones are wildly expensive, and even the two reissues Gibson did over the years are pricey.

Now there’s a new secretive limited reissue to honor the Dutch legend Jan Akkerman, as outlined in this Trogly video. Of course there’s a catch. First the price. Not bad, all things considered, but more than my nonexistent budget allows. The second? You can only buy them from France or the Netherlands.

If only we knew someone in the Netherlands. 🤔 (Of course, catch #1 still applies for me, so even that wouldn’t help.) But, one can always dream.

Lotsa guitars and basses are now out of reach except for the top 5% of earners or someone with really serious guitar priorities.
Glad NS Guild is at least trying to keep it reasonable!!😀👍 Though the bisonic Starfires are thru the roof now. 1699 for a maple II?!?!

The '54 LP Custom is super sexy and always catch my eye. I also have a secret lust for an LP Custom with all chrome or nickel hardware. Much as I love my '76 Bluesbird, I've always wanted one. I can't stop looking at them. Like you, too pricey.

I've also noticed this secret Gibson signature thing with Rick Beato's beautiful signature Les Paul Special double cut in Pelham Blue. There were even announcements that it was going into production in April 2021, however, I never saw one on their website, and I haven't ever seen one besides in his videos. There aren't any when filtering for sold examples on Reverb or even on Google for that matter. I would buy one if I could find one.

Try this if it works ; Thomann is Europeen online n°1 shop, reliable, good return policy I think (I bought three times from them, electronic gear, strings, amps covers and so on - no musical instruments others than harps - and all worked fine)...Prices are about the best www.thomann.de/fr/gibson_lp_custom_54_black_beauty_vos.htm? When it comes to how much it costs, can't do nothing for you sorry !!:oops: You could ask to get V.A.T. back I think (20% in France), but I don't know about taxes in the U.S. then, nor if they do send there (they probably could I'd say - not very common this way though I bet -)
