Merry Christmas everyone! Im posting to see if anyone has seen this model before and could tell me a bit about it. What is GV or NT? I have been looking online but don't find much of anything... Another interesting thing about the guitar is the serial number. FJ 000004. Were there not many of this model made? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hello Justin and welcome to LTG. I'm not familiar with this particular model, but someone here will be able to help you out.
GV= Gruhn Vintage
NT= Natural Top

Could the 1 possibly be a 7?

FJ000004 might be a very late 1993 or early 1994 GV-70 NT. Hans Moust can give you the correct date.

GV= Gruhn Vintage
Does G really refer to George Gruhn??? I doubt that as Gruhn wasn't at Guild anymore in 1993.

Very nice GV-70 ! Just as a hint, I see some pictures posted double, when you edit that post you see below your post all the pictures small and behind a delete button, so you can delete the double ones there.

I tried to fix it and made it worse lol. I deleted and reuploaded though. So maybe it's better now. Thank you!

GV stood for "grand vintage" I have a GV70 that has been one of my all time favorite guilds. It is my favorite Guild to finger pick, which is very surprising to me, being a rosewood guitar. I believe the records show a total of 58-59 GV70s built, so its a rare bird for sure!
