Yes, Doyle owns multiple such vintage Starfire IIIs in cherry and emerald green.

Loved hearing the story of how he got his Cherry Starfire III back.

While I love Starfire IIIs, he is such a monster player that he can make any guitar sing.

There was a Emerald Green Starfire III with Dearmonds at a local music store back about 20+ years ago. I wanted it really bad, but couldn't scare up the 600 clams...😔

I used to own this one - it was a 1970 special order with the DeArmonds and block inlays. Definitely green but difficult to photograph. I bought it at the Philly guitar show, I think it may have been a local dealer so maybe it was the one Dr. Lucky saw.
There was a lot of finish damage on the back - it must have gotten wet because the case was mildewed also. I sold the guitar because the neck was too uncomfortably thin.

I would imagine with a Philadelphia name like guildadelphia, you were 😂
Actually a Jersey Shore boy.......moved to Philly after college. I think every major guitar shop in Philly (and some smaller ones too) were Guild dealers back in the 70's , 80's, 90's. Zaph's, Medley, 8th Street, Cintioli's, and Music City always seemed to have a nice selection of Guild electrics and acoustics.
Howard Herbert Music was a little neighborhood shop in Northeast Philly and was a Guild dealer. Howard Herbert, the owner, was a great old time chord melody player and I remember him showing me his personal guitar....an Emerald Green Starfire III w/ DeArmonds, a Guildsby and a Melita bridge. Mr. Herbert actually knew the guy who designed the Melita bridge, Sebastiano "Johnny" Melita who was also from Philly.:)
