Supposed to have a solid top and be called the Savoy, too, according to Friend Hans' book.

Looks like there's a fairly visible scratch on the top, on the bass side, to the left of the Harp Tailpiece and the bridge.
The 'larger pictures' show photos from a completely different Guild Archtop Electric, so the Seller probably built the present eBay auction on an older one and forgot to change the pics. I'd be wanting to see some larger pics if I was truly interested. Good luck with the guitar!

Hello,

It's been quiet out there. Not having any reference books (shame on me Hans :) ) I saw this A-150 in e-bay and was wondering if this model is trully a solid top as the seller claims - also claims it was the Savoy as well?

Hello Alex,

That's correct. It's an A-150 Savoy with solid spruce top & laminated back & sides. The only thing in the description that's not correct is the Grover StaTite tuners, which were used on this model during earlier years. The tuners on this A-150 are Grover RotoMatics.

Now get on line and buy that book! It's a little over $ 20.00.

Sincerely,

Yeah, it's a link to an X-500 he was selling.

Fat chance! If I buy this one, it'll be on the divorce papers for sure!
