I just stumbled on this pedal. I would love to try one out.
Around $100 bucks on the "used" market. Anyone try this pedal?

I can't speak for this pedal but I saw a band where the guitar player would occasionally sound like he was playing a 12-string electric and he never switch guitars and he wasn't playing a Line6 guitar. I assumed he had a pedal to get that sound.

I'd imagine it wouldn't be all that hard. If a PolyTuner can pull out each string, than any other DSP-based pedal could. Take the bottom four strings, octave double them, take the top two and add them slightly out of phase and you got yourself a 12-string sound from a 6-string guitar.

Didn't Boss make one too at one time? It was years ago but I had one in my electric band. I don't know how similar it was to this one.

While it created a pleasing effect, it was too synthetic sounding to make the guitar sound like an actual 12-string, acoustic or electric. But it sounded pretty cool when I used it on my Hagstrom electric 12-string!

Yups. I can get a very convincing 12-string effect using a Boss PS-6 Harmonist. Although I imagine the Digitech pedal does a great, focused job of it.

I tried one when they first came out. It does give you a 12 string-ish sound along with some ability to shape it. But then I got an EHX Pitch Fork and liked its blended octave up setting better, so the Mosaic is now on indefinite loan to a neighbor's kid.
