Interesting thanks, I must be dim with the search as I couldn't find anything. Peering inside mine there might be a cap on the neck tone control but I can't see anything on the others. Everything very, err, vintage looking in there...

I just refretted this myself which was a bit sweaty but I'm pretty pleased. Used medium jumbos in an effort to raise the string height and put off a neck set. Original frets were almost gone. It's improved things a bit and I've re installed the height adjustment nuts on the Bridge. Also made a new bone nut. I am planning on sanding the bottom of the saddle a little as the wings are lifting up from the top of the guitar and setting the Bridge nicely on the top. Thing is to get the intonation right with a set of 10 guage daddario strings and matching the 12 fret harmonic and fretted in getting quite a severe slant on the Bridge. Is this a common problem? Thought I might have messed up the nut but it's the same with a capo on the first and using the 13th.

oh also what do you guys think of the break angle to the harp piece, looks OK to me especially considering the Bridge is low as possible.

thanks all.

Nice job with the refret! On the bridge, the saddles can move back and forth with the screws to get more movement. This allows the low E saddle to be brought back and the high E to be moved forward reducing the need to angle the bridge base. Your bridge appears to have the saddles locked in the “center” position and not using the screws to individually move the saddles up and back. If I zoom in on your bridge you can even see the low E has a shim on both sides locking it into position.

Here is a photo of one of mine that shows the saddle back all the way helping the intonation and reducing the need to angle the bridge

That's the best angle I can get with the individual bridge pieces I have which are in a fairly molested state. To which I have added some little more abuse...

Angle still seems a bit steep to me and often getting ringing from the strings vibrating against the brass bridge pieces because the strings are not traveling straight across them which is really getting annoying...

I would change the saddle, if not the whole bridge.
A Compton,tru-arc, bigsby or plain rosewood will make a world of difference

I probably have a suitable piece of rosewood, just being lazy really, does anyone have a plan or dimensions for the guild rosewood saddle? Even a few decent photos would do it

Anyone know the dimensions or even an exact pot to replace my neck volume? If really like a push pull for out of phase any pointers?
