I'm sure glad to have found this forum, its a great source of information.

I have a '63 T-100-D, cherry sunburst, Franz pups (learned that here) at the luthiers getting a headstock crack repaired. My guitar (sn 23340) looks like the abused twin of MickaelK's guitar (sn 23467). I'll post pics once I get a host set up.

Im missing a picguard/bracket and I want one exactly like MichaelK's. A template has already been posted (thanks jp!). But I'd like to know the thickness of the plexiglass guards. Also, could someone post a close up of the Guild insignia on the guards like MichaelK's?

Thanks,

I'm no help whatsoever with your questions, but welcome anyway. Someone who knows something will be along soon.

Thanks for the responses. And thanks again to jp for the pickguard info: 1/8" thick, I'm ready to get started.

Happy to help Aestus. Did you get a shot of the Guild logo yet from anyone?

I don't know if you already new this, but the early pickguards, I think throughout the 60s were simply clear plexi with the logo screened in reverse and then painted black on the back. This makes the process pretty easy. If you need to source material, this place has 1/8 in clear plexi (no 31). I'm also a big fan of TAP Plastics discount bin!

Yeah jp, when I lived in Houston I regularly trolled the plastic stores' knock off bins. Tap plastics' site is a great find. Instructional videos!
