Got early Jet Star fever ;]

Looking to buy or trade. Prefer it'd be 100% original with case, prefer Red over Sunburst.

Missing finger rests are fine.

Will trade my very clean '73 JS2 bass, will add cash or other guitar for the right bass.

Good luck. They are fairly scarce and if I had one I would expect you to add some cash to the trade.

To enable success, you might consider a D'Armond which won't have the vintage vibe but might be easier to find.

You might also think about pickups - there are JetStars with Bisonics but also with whatever we are calling this one. Might possibly be a third since Guild used three different pickups for Starfires in the mid-60's before returning to and sticking with the Bisonic.

This thread at TalkBass reminds me there are headstock variations.

Have patience with searches because while we'd like to believe that Guild never called the "JS" "JetStar" they did and there are basses I would call a JS I advertised as a JetStar. Indeed here is a label from what I would call a 1973 JS II.

Title of thread sounds like you wanna trade your jet star for a JS.

Yes, I'm realizing they are really scare, will probably have to throw in some extra something.

I do see a lot of DeArmonds but I'm only after it true vintage. As well I don't need it really at all.

I think I would like a Jet Star with a single Bisonic, will keep my eyes open for one. Should jumped on that one a while back, but again, more of a want than a need ;]

I think it's fixed?

first step if u are serious about acquiring one, is forget trying to trade a 70's JS for it. since absolutely no one on the planet would make that deal

;] I changed my mind already, I think I'd like a Starfire with a Bisonic, probably easier to find than a 60's Jet Star bass.
