´53 Guild X-375 Blonde

Hi guys, just bought Guild X-375 from New Hope guitar Traders, and I simply love the guitar, nice action, and wonderful tone, I will post a video playing with my new Standel amp. The only strange thing is that i think that the wiring is not correct, I just can not use tone know in som positions and in the neck pickup the tone is out and both knobs do the same thing, low volume. Please If anybody can help me and tell me how the wiring should be, or can send me the wiring diagram. Thanks a lot in advance

Hi Joe and welcome to LTG ... I can't help with your controls but maybe somebody will come along who can. How about some pics of your guitar?

Sounds like you may have the "mud cap" still on the neck pickup. I'm not familiar with the wiring and switching on that guitar but if the neck pickup has this cap, I would think it would affect any combination involving that pickup. Maybe you should contact Jay first and ask him about how it should behave.

Of course, pictures are mandatory - including the Standel!

Hi guys, here are some photos from my guitar. I will try to post a viveo in a few days playing the guitar through my standel replica.

Please contact me to send me the wiring schematic, or at least to let me know how the control knobs should work in the different positions. Thanks in advance

Yep, gorgeous! Don't really have any experience with this model, but you should have yourself a volume knob, a tone knob and 6 possible pickup combinations. The letters on the pushbuttons correspond to a pickup. Don't know if, for instance, it's labeled 't' for bridge(treble) or 'b' for bridge or whatever. 'M' obviously is middle. Hopefully someone will chime in.

Oh yeah, how about some pix of that amp, too?

Re: ´53 Guild X-375 Blonde

Hi, and thanks for the info. The thing is that when I use sigle pickup option (T, M or B) alone, tone knob doesn´t work. I guess that it should be like you said before, tone and volume for every position, please let me know if your guitars are like this?? Thanks

About my Standel replica, I will post photos when I go to my practice place, but in advance just to let you know I bougt the speaker a 56 Jim Lansing D130, on ebay and my tech, a famous guy here in Spain took the schematic from a friend in the US, he used to work for Ampeg and others. All tubes are from the 50s like a lot of components, and the cabinet was made by a guy.....I forgot but if any of you are interested, I will search a tell you everything you want to know.......
