The dog is mesmerized.

How does she get that sound outdoors. It didn't look like she " Guitar Synch'd " to a track.

Good question! It sure seem like she's playing live and there's no mic, but what a great sound. And based on the video itself it seems like it's coming from a cell phone video?

There is too much reverb and too little background noise to be raw, unprocessed cellphone audio, IMO.

I would expect an additional mic we are not seeing, and perhaps some audio processing. I'm also sure she is a good enough player to record the video and then record an audio only track where she played along with the video while listening with headphones. A good editor could synch the new audio to the video easily.

First she talks - propably there is a fairly hard material roof + wall behind camera - that explains the echoey sound of her speaking.

Playing guitar - without a question playback - unless there is an inside guitar mic + transmitter + external sound processing.

She could well be enough good guitar player to play in sync - not that hard after all-

And the dog . . . 😍 - always good to have animals around !

I wonder. One could argue she's got a great sounding guitar and we know she's a great player. Maybe that's we are supposed to sound like if we could play like that.

Why would she be showing off her "syncing" skills? She's Nancy Wilson. I think it could be live and perhaps she tweaked the sound on her phone. There are several apps that can do that. And some of the new iPhones have great mics.

It just seems so natural.

Seeming "natural" is often the result of a higher quality production process that often includes multiple takes and editing. If the engineer is good enough the listener never believes it wasn't just one live "natural" take.

She is not demonstrating her synching skills. If that were the point she would be using a looper pedal :)

I think the audio and video are from the same take until about 1:00 when she stops talking. I find the video flash when the music starts as an indication that we are not seeing a single unedited take.

If you want to come out on a limb with me, she brushes her right ear about 0:50. Perhaps she is making sure her wireless earbud is in place before she starts to play? :)

If you go to YouTube it was "Filmed and Edited" by Julia Bywater and published in a channel (Carry On Music) associated with a company that sounds like the modern equivalent of an artist friendly record company to me.

Won't be the first time we have agreed to disagree in the presence of speculation and absence of evidence :)

No, I like your assessment, and others who have posted. I guess I just WANT it to be all her!

But my wants and reality are often at odds...

I always wanted this performance of White Rabbit to be live but the sock puppet on Jack Casady's bass pretty much proves that theory wrong.

I'm glad I wrote that line in my first verdict . . . 😂

Because now I watched the video on big screen - and noticed, that there seems to be a wireless transmitter in the output jack at heel block. That means simply, that the microphone for her speech was muted and the signal from guitar was routed thru process. Would be really nice to know what pups she uses. Sound is very nice.

One can do so much with a mixer and effects - but it all begins at the guitar and the pickup - naturally not forgetting the players touch.

Enjoyed that - thanks! Definitely sounds like something Eddie would've written.
