By the way, I am wondering which screws the Newark St. HB-1's using?

I disagree...;) Because if the screws used on the NS HB-1 would be usable we would/could find the current source via CMG. Unless it's in South Korea as well... This is far from over yet! :devilish::geek:

ralf, i zoomed in on the pic of those and to me they look to have the same kind of splayed ends to the slot as the ones i sent you but i don't have an actual NS guitar to compare. be good to see some actual examples i close up.

I may have found someone who can deliver! Here are samples he sent me. From left to right they are:

New sample stripped
New sample nickel plated
Original HB1 screw (chrome)

I'm checking on availability including gold and chrome, prices, etc. and will update when I know more, but I think these look really really good.

And yes, that HB1 screw is a little bent. It's old. :)

It’s a trick of the light. Since they reflect differently they look to be shaped differently. Definitely the same shape. .

In case anyone sees these and is tempted, these are not pickup adjustment screws:

They look like they're the same vintage and maybe even from the same source, but they're way too thick to be pickup adjustment screws, at least for AntiHums or HB1s.

By the vernier measurements and the ruler, to me these appear to be 1/4-20 thread (or a near metric size?)

They are huge! The thread diameter alone is larger than the head diameter of the HB-1 screws! (0.245" vs 0.219"). And the head is 0.363" vs. 0.219". First I thought maybe they belong to Mickey Mouse pickups but looking at the large size, no way.
