Price is steep for me right now, but it does look interesting...
it's at orange grove and river. the sprouts shopping centerIs this the store up near the Catalina Foothills?
thanks jeff. it's not weight but positioning. the wider the lower bout, the more my right shoulder is raised higher, and that is the real issue.Nice! I'd check it out, and see if they can go lower. I see a hole for a pickguard drilled in the front, but no pickguard - perhaps a reason to take off some money?
RE: your shoulder - that is a semi-hollow, not hollow, just didn't know if a guitar's weight affects your shoulder.

thanks Gary. checked them both out on YT, and i like the Starfire II over the T50. tonewise and versaltility wise.FWIW if you're looking for an alternative for acoustic and your shoulder is bothering you, a Starfire II would be a better choice. They don't seem to be making those these days, but they're incredibly light and ring out more than a semi-hollow. In the Newark St. line I'd also say any of the Starfire I SCs. These are a bit heavier than a SFII since they have a center block of sorts, but being made in Indonesia they have much lower prices. The ones with Guildsbys are a little bit heavier, but the Starfire I SC in Antique Burst comes without.
A T50 Slim would be a good choice, too. More of that vintage vibe than the others. Being made in Korea it has a higher street price new.
HTH!
