SOLD! You guys KNOW these guitars, and that New Hartford, CT was a high-water mark for Guild acoustics. This is an excellent example of a 2012 Guild F-50!
https://rvrb.io/2012-f-50-q4fck1
It features AAA spruce top, red spruce (adi) bracing (lighter and stronger), maple back and sides, arched back, natural finish, with factory DTAR Multi-Source system and open-back gold Gotoh tuners (lighter, no more "neck-dive" while playing!). In my opinion, the epitome of Guild production.
The factory-installed DTAR Multi-Source system is amazing! It's an under-saddle Transducer (UST) pickup, as well as an internal mic, with blend and volume controls in the sound hole. It's an 18V on-board, pre-amp system that provides much more headroom than 9V systems, and it does not require an external preamp. And no UST "quack"...just pure amplified Guild tone!
Hardly any fret-wear, the finish is superb, and the inlays are gorgeous.
This is the nicest Guild in my collection, so I kept it humidified, in the case, and rarely played it live. I actually hate to let it go, but I had to buy a car, need the cash more than the guitar, and I am seriously running out of space anyway! Besides, Guilds are "Made to be Played", not stored.
Were I a wealthy man, you wouldn't be reading this. But reality raises it's ugly head from time to time and bites you in the...LOL!
It has one tiny little bump which is hard to photograph, and two tiny little scuffs on the binding around the lower bout (probably from a guitar stand) which were there when I bought it from Elderly a few years ago. I tried to photograph them, but they are really hard to see.
Specs:
Top: Solid AAA Sitka Spruce
Back & Sides: Beautiful Maple, arched back for projection and tone.
Neck: 3-piece Mahogany, Ebony fingerboard with natural mother-of-pearl & abalone inlays. Nut width = 1 11/16", Scale = 25 5/8"
Ebony bridge, bone saddle, bridge pins & nut
Scalloped red spruce bracing
Includes the original case.
CON US only. Contact me with any questions, or if you want specific photos.
There isn't one nicer than this listed anywhere...and especially not at this price!
