Hey out there,,,, I recently purchased a Guild F-20 N and I'm wondering if all the 2007's had the same "flame maple" binding and heel plate ??? I absolutely love this guitar and I think the guy I bought it from would never had sold it if his divorce didn't force his hand,,,any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Butch, welcome to the forum! And major congrats on your recent acquisition! I can't answer you question, but I expect someone will be along to fill you in on everything you ever wanted to know about your F-20. 😁

BTW, we love pics!

Welcome to LTG! In 2007 Guild (based in Tacoma/USA at that time) did not make a F-20, can you show us pictures or the serial number? What does the label tell you about manufacturing location?
But thinking about it, I believe you are talking about the made in China GAD-F20NA model, right? (GAD=Guild Acoustic Design series)

If she was made in late 2007 or 2008 would be visible on the 10 digit number which you can find inside on the neck block. The first two digits of this number identify the production year. In your case either 07 or 08. The second two digits identify the production month. All other digits are manufacturing numbers with no meaning to a owner.

The June 1, 2008 pricelist shows this:

Welcome aboard, Butch. If you have a picture, can you post it? And, especially a picture of the label.

The gang is correct that there was no F-20 from 2007, which was the last year of Tacoma-based production.

I bought a used 2007 Gad F-20 just to A/B it against my GSR F-20. The Gad is a nice guitar all around, but the GSR is in a different league. I have only seen two Gad F-20s for sale in the last several years. They must have not made too many.

2008 was the last year...O.k., 2007 was the last "full year".

Sorry, you're right, Ralf. I misstated. Correct... almost a full year of 2008 Guild production was done in Tacoma. New Hartford had started building prototype D-55s during 2008, but that was before they released their first production models in the beginning of 2009.

The GADF20 came out either late 2007 or early 2008 but were in the catalogs until 2011 when the Westerly collection took over end of 2011. So there should be quite a few out there. The Westerly collection only had the M-120 but no spruce top concert model anymore.
