Hi-it is similar in weight to most semi-solid thinline Gibsons I have lifted, perhaps on the heavier side (sorry, I do not possess an accurate scale...maybe in the region of 8 lbs...?). The weight is balanced, it hangs quite confortably on a strap. The guitar is located in Portsmouth, NH, about an hour north of Boston. Thanks for your inquiry>
