Here are the photos for a Guild DV52 in Antique Burst. It has a couple issues i will address since i have not done my full review and write for the guitar, in a reverb/ebay listing. It's got the two small soundhole cracks, slight rear bridge lift, where i can get a sheet of paper to start and slide under in two spots. Has one fairly big ding on the front side, below the bridge. I had the entire body binding front and back reglued by my luthier. It is the original binding, and the work was well done. I can send pics, measurements, video, etc. if anyone has serious interest in it. Please message me here, or text me at 256-345-4968. Thanks for looking!!

That looks like a nice 20 year old guitar. Someone is going to be happy.

I've always been impressed with the sound of the DV series guitars.

Is this not basically a D55?
Well the obvious differences being chesterfield vs g-shield in the headstock and the lack of block inlays on the fretboard. Other than that WW gotta think the 55 has more gloss whereas the DV has more of a satin finish to the back and sides at least based on what I’ve seen. I would also have to think wood grades would be different. Sonically they should be fairly similar based on dominion the ingredients.

I believe DV52s came in satin and nitrocelluose. The DV52s can hang right in there, with the sound quality, of a D55. I would say the appointments are a mix between a D50 and a D55. The DV52s are about 800-1,000 dollars cheaper than a D55, and one of the best values on the used guitar market in my opinion.

DV52 - AA Spruce top. D55 - AAA Spruce top. DV52 - body and neck binding. D55 - full binding including headstock. DV52 - MOP dot fret inlays and Chesterfield headstock inlay. D55 - MOP/abalone fret inlays, shield headstock inlay.

DV52's came in both nitro and satin finishes.
