I wouldn't pay that price.

I would never pay over $1100-1200 for a Starfire IV.

I only paid $1050 for my 2004 Gibson ES-333.
I only paid $650 for my '69 Guild Starfire V!!!

You can do better than that piece.

Maybe the CL posting is an asking price.
See if there's any wiggle room around the price Jack is suggesting. Perhaps he'll entertain an offer.
