The label says D2-NT but Guild never produced a D2 model that I can find. The CH serial number prefix was only used for model D4-12 and only in 1992 and 1993. The prefix was changed to AD in 1994. One can only speculate as to why the label was written this way.

Hello rjeroots,

Welcome! You don't have to speculate. The reason why the label was written up like that is because the person, who was responsible for writing up the label, used the 'in-house' model number (the model number that was used in production/bookkeeping) instead of the model designation that was used in the catalogs and other official Guild literature. Not only did he or she wrote the 'incorrect' model designation, but also one 'zero' too much in the serial number. If you look at the back of the headstock it will most likely say CH001101.

Sincerely,
