Yes, but just look at Shelby's stable -- all outta sight, classy flat-tops.
Had a 1962 Epiphone Century with P90 - all original -- Kalamazoo, MI. And really a good guitar - same as Gibson ES 125 but never reached for it when I got Guild and Bozung acoustics. No regrets selling it.
And so kind of you, Jim, to be my number one enabler.

I find it strange that there are over 500 views of this guitar on LTG, and way over 500 views on Reverb, but no one has shown any interest in it. I can't figure it out, especially at this price. Oh well.

I would buy it in a heartbeat except I’ve sunk way too much into my ‘76 x-500, which I over paid for to begin with. Mine is a natural. I wanted a sunburst. My ‘76 does play and sound just how I want now. Lessons in letting go….

Sounds like you have a really nice vintage X-500.....it's satisfying to have a guitar that is set up just right for one's playing style. Someone on Reverb has expressed interest in it....offering me $2,000....said he would drive 7 hours to pick it up. Also said he plays gypsy jazz style. Though the X-500 is a versatile hollow body (mine has Bella flats on it), and don't fancy it sounding all that authentic played in gypsy jazz style. Everyone to their liking, I suppose. I don't like the $2,000 offer though. Won't accept it.

I think my drastically reducing the asking price for the X-500 has made potential buyers leery about its condition. It couldn't be farther from the truth. It's basically in excellent condition, in a brand new TKL deluxe case. I just have to sell it to purchase something for which I have tremendous GAS.

It's so beautiful. Don't reduce any more! I look at it almost every day.
I, also, look at it everyday. And just something about vintage archtops that still appeal to me. Maybe because the first good guitar I had was a late 40s or 50s Vega Odell

Beautiful guitar!
I have one or I'd be there.
And it's an excellent price.

This is a terrible time to sell anything that isn't destined to be a Christmas present unless a loon like me is looking for it.

Good point Gary. I'm hoping that the 583 views as of now right now on the Reverb page indicates that folks are checking back to see that the guitar is still available. :cautious:
