It's very pretty! And if it has indeed been so well preserved it sounds like a good deal. I think I'd do a little more research about the "rosewood" neck. I'd also research the lack of a pickguard, which seems odd on that vintage (just my opinion - not necessarily fact), and the inlays look unusual to me, too. If it's close to you, maybe you can arrange to play it, which is the only thing that should really matter. One just wants to be sure the seller knows what they are selling, and what you would be getting. It helps confirm their integrity and protects your investment.

Good luck!!

i would ask for a shot of the label. it just looks odd to me, like someone took a guild neck and stuck it on a mystery jumbo or something.

Just like I said: Doesn't look like a Guild at all!

Maybe he's just using a photo of a GAD but he says the guitar he's selling is a Guild JF-30 from 1987 ????????

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

good call Hans! this is 100% a GAD-JF30. in particular, look at the back of the GAD-JF30 on sale at sweetwater.com right now - dead to rights the same axe!

and here are the particulars, and a pic of the front- look at the inlays on the fretboard - identical.

Sure looks like a GAD-JF30 to me. The guitar sure looked pretty to me, especially without the pickguard. But then, I looked closer at the fingerboard inlays. Hey, there is something fishy going on here. This guitar looks too good for a 1987.

Then I took another look at all your posts. That ain't no '87. The guy should know better.
