I
Guild's jumbo 12s were head-and-shoulders above the competition, IMO.

I'm crazy about my Westerly F212XL too. I've owned a number of Guild 12-strings over the years, both Westerly and Hoboken. Sold a bunch and still have a bunch. My F65-12 (F412) and F212XL may be top of the heap.
When you write “F65-12”, is that a JF65-12? I just purchased one of those from 1987. It will arrive tomorrow. Should I be expecting a great sounding 12er?

Well how about that, it is there! Maybe they didn’t swing the hammer hard enough on the steel punch🤔( not really sure how they stamp them). Hmm, I wonder how far apart our ‘79s are
Mine is Serial 203051. According to the production for 79 the numbers are 195068 to 211877 to Sept 30, 1979.

^ Yes, and yes.
Hey Chazmo I haven’t seen this color before on other JF65 images I could find, it’s kind of bright to me. It reminds me of the fruit popsicle I use to get from the ice cream man. I’m hoping it will sound ok, that’s all that really matters. I was told it was a 1987 JF65-12. Only info was “Clean guitar! Looks great! Sounds great! Original case!” That’s it. Some kind of small business. No close up picture of a label, though I can see there’s one inside. Wasn’t in the listing but looks like maybe a Fishman matrix pickup, only because I can see the volume and tone wheels in the sound hole. Do you think it is a JF65-12 in your opinion? Looks to be in excellent condition. Thanks

What Chaz said! (And thanks for correcting me, re, the model designation.)

I love that "Bomb-pop" sunburst and I'm not a sunburst guy especially. (Mine's a reg'lar ol' NT.)

If yours sounds anything like mine, you're gonna love it!

Yeah in all my years I’ve never purchase a burst guitar. I’ve refinished a few in burst for folks, but I’ve always been a NAT guy. It’s just while I’ve looked, the only two out there are either in Japan or Canada. When I found this one close to home I just pulled the trigger, in fear of them continuing to elude me.

Pretty 'burst, Bob. That's either an F-412 or JF-65-12. I think the tiger-stripe, maple neck means that it's a JF-65-12, but I'm not 100% sure of that. That'll be a keeper.
