1973 D25. This one is a flat back, last year for the flatback I believe. It has solid mahogany sides, back and top. The guitar is in very good condition and doesnt seem to have been used very much. The fretboard shows no heavy wear and the back of the neck is smooth, fast and has no finish wear. The tuners are shiny and hold tune perfectly. Bindings are all good. As with all old vintage guitars it does have scratches some lacquer chips and dings here and there. There is one ding on the side that I have pictured. On the lower 1/3 of the back the seam where the two pieces of wood were joined is visible and you can slightly feel it with your finger. It is not raised, sunken or cracked. My luthier said the brace under it is solid and its not going anywhere, its the seam. It was hard to get a pic of it but I did manage to get one. The action on the guitar is perfect with room on the saddle for further adjustment if need be in the future. No Neck reset needed here. The guitar plays and sounds great and comes with a newer guild case, pictured.
The Guitar was just at the luthier and was totally gone through. truss rod adjusted, neck is straight. All braces checked and are perfect nothing loose. New nut , New saddle, and set up. Frets 1 to 3 have been replaced. Currently has new 11 to 52 elixir strings. Plays and sounds awesome, ready to go out of the box. Great early Hog flatback. $1000 plus shipping. US shipping only.
