I was able to find a 1972 Guild M85-II. Does anyone know all the assigned functions on the knobs and switches? This one does not have a master volume knob.

Tone and volume control for each pickup. It looks like the lettering on the knobs are intact and they are in the correct positions. The TV pair closest to the strings control the neck PU. The other pair, the bridge PU. The mini toggle is officially called the Deep/Hard switch. It only operates on the neck PU. In one position is cuts treble. Easier to just selected the neck PU, max the volume, min the tone and then listen to each position of the switch than engage my vocabulary to maybe describe the difference in a meaningful way.. I wouldn't expect a master volume on a '72. PU selector has three positions - neck only, both (in the middle) and bridge only. The position that tilts the switch closest to the neck PU is probably the position that selects neck only.

More than you wanted to know?

Glad you found one.

Nice! Here's a shot of mine - a 1971 - before it was Alembicized:

The description @fronobulax gives doesn't contradict my experience. Because mine is fretless (factory as far as I know), it doesn't have the high end that it would with rounds (or even flats clacking against the frets), so I don't remember noticing the "deep/hard" switch only affecting the neck pickup - I really never play with just the bridge pickup so probably just didn't notice! And in honor of said switch, here's a pic from an eBay auction:

How are you liking it? I love mine, but would love to try a fretted one.
