I'm thinking about selling my 1970 Custom Artist Award, built most probably either personally by Carlo Greco or at least under his supervision. I bought it from the original owner who used it as his "home guitar." He never gigged with it, and its condition shows that kind of care. It's "custom" as it's 18" at the lower bout. It's in excellent condition, as its case. I'll sell the AA for $6,500 which I have in it, plus the cost of shipping. PM me if you're interested.

Breath taking beauty Rich. Kinda like a litter of new born bird dog puppies.
Best of luck with the sale

If I had the $Ameros, I'd buy this right now. When I first saw it, i realized that of all the AA's I've ever seen it would be my first choice. Then I realized that of all the Guilds I've ever seen it would be my first choice. And finally I realized that of all the guitars I've ever seen, this would be my first. (Yes, I know celebrity guitars and historically important axes are worth more, but I mean a guitar I'd like to have to pamper and play --very carefully). Rich is a lucky man.

Will it be needing a neck reset soon?
Darryl,
String height at the 12th fret is 4/64ths with the bridge all the way down. There is no string buzzing at that height anywhere on the fret board. The intonation is perfect. I like string height to be low. One could raise the string height easily to 6/64ths or even higher if that's comfortable by raising the height of the top part of the floating bridge. IMO, the guitar doesn't need a neck reset.

Chuck Nicholson of thatrhythmman.com wants to buy it from me at my price of $6,500. I'd rather see it go to an fellow LTGer.

Thank you for putting me out of my misery! Now I don't have to sell any guitars. Congrats!
