Here is a link to my 1969 D44. This is a Hoboken built dreadnought with a Sitka Spruce top and Pearwood back and sides. Serial AC 515. I detail everything that has been fixed, in my write up. I don't think I've ever played a pearwood guitar. I may have had a Classical. How does it sound when compared to mahogany?

It sounds quite similar to Mahogany. I noted in the write up, on reverb, that it has characteristics of Hog and Maple. It's very loud and punchy, good bass, and very bright highs.
