I am selling a Guild F112 12 string guitar. I believe it is a 1968 the Serial # is OA 120. You can see it in the pics. The sunburst color is less common and an interesting feature. Another uncommon feature is the aftermarket pickup that is inside the guitar. The pickup is not permanently mounted and could be removed if you did not want it. This is a player and not a collector guitar. The face is scratched and there is a 4 inch long crack the runs right next to the pick guard. There is also a crack in the bridge that does not show up in the photo. There are no structural cracks or problems. I have owned this guitar for 20 years. I live in Virginia but could ship anywhere. I will also deliver if within 100 miles of 22207. Its a great playing guitar, good action, good sound, etc, I just don't play it that much. I will consider trades. I am very interested in a fender lap steel. You can respond to this post or send an email to Whits350@aol.com if interested. Thanks.

Hi Whit - can you tell us a bit more:

Does it come with a case? If so, is it the original case?

Is the bridge still tight to the sound board?

What is the neck angle like? In the second picture, the saddle looks rather low and string break angle appears fairly flat. Do have any additional pictures to clarify this?

I'm curious if this guitar will be in need of a neck reset, in the near future......

Thanks!

Ok, I had a pro check out the guitar and some issues that are not in the photo are, the neck may need to be reset the action is a bit high at the 10th fret. I have never minded I think it plays fine. Its a 12 string so I don't play a lot of lightning fast licks in the 5th position. Also someone in the past tried to compensate for this action by "shaving" or lowering the bridge. In light of these issues I am lowering the price to $600. This guitar does have a hard case it is really beat up looking. The bridge is tight to the sound board, it is not going anywhere. The back of the guitar is fantastic. I will provide photos of both soon. If I went to guitar center and found a 12 string guitar with and electric pickup inside for $600 it would not sound nearly as good. Not even close, so I think this is a reasonable price.

Matt at action music in falls church VA is the pro I was referencing. Also, the guitar is gone. A guy about 20 years old bought it for $500. That's good someone will play it.

Thanks. I haven't needed one but Matt/Action is my first choice when I do. Mrs. Fro. played played a D-25 there that was set up magnificently. See this for Guilds in the parking lot.
