Fabulous sunburst on that one! And that body shape is one of the best Guild ever designed.

A MJH style guitar. Though his were from much earlier. Enjoy!

Beautiful. Not a lot of saddle but looks like could be lowered and string slots cut into the bridge to improve the break angle over the saddle.

I wanted to post the reply from Hans Moust for clarification. This will be for sale, have not decided on "before or after" as far as trip to the luthier, Imrie.

That’s a very attractive older Guild. That burst has an aged warmth to it that draws you in. GLWS.

Anyone care to make an offer before I spend the money on a guitar I can't play ?

You should list it in the For Sale section on LTG. It looks great.

A properly done pro neck reset shouldn't devalue a steelstring flattop. In my mind, a guitar that plays well is worth more than a museum piece with unplayable action.

Good luck with the sale. Having spent a happy hour playing my 1964 burst F30 last night (staying up much too long), I can attest to the quality of these instruments.

OK! Nice burst! So I've heard two opinions regarding a neck reset -- you say it needs it, your buddy says it doesn't. You just say you like a low action. I'm with you on that. That's why I took in my recent acquisition for a setup. Told the luthier I wanted it as low as possible. The saddle was a little lower when it came back, but not terribly low. And man, is it easy to play! Maybe a setup will do it for you!

[Edit to add: Oh, you put it up for sale. That's reasonable since you don't like the nut width, the action, etc. You need a guitar that really does it for you. Good luck with the sale... and the hunt!]

Got an offer, too low to be realistic, guess they were just " kicking the tires " as they say.
