Looking to replace the single pickup on my 1966 Guild Slim Jim T-100. The pickup is original and sounded decent for about 15 years. The guitar has been dormant since about 1985, but I don't have the heart to sell it, so I've decided to play it instead. Looking for a replacement where I won't have to do any cutting if that's possible. Thanks.

Pics would help. There are a few different pickups used on T100s from that era.

It would be really cool if you could squeeze a repro Franz neck PU in that position. I'm not sure if you'll have string clearance above it. You may have to sand down the cover to lower it slightly to make it fit, and I don't think you need to rout the existing hole any further. I think the PU cover should extend beyond the width of the Mickey Mouse PU. You should measure first, though. I think my neck Franz PU is countersunk slightly.

How much room do you have between the strings and the top of the body at your neck PU?
