For Sale Vintage 1966 Guild Mark IV Pearwood Classical Guitar; made in Hoboken NJ, serial # CD-184.
I bought it from the original owners daughter, who inherited it after her father passed away. I have owned it for 6 years. It sat under her bed for 40 odd years. I would doubt there is one in finer condition, just look at the pictures. It comes with the original case, in excellent shape.
Flamed Pearwood is used for the back and sides. The Pearwood is a beautiful tonewood for acoustic instruments. This professional-level instrument is the perfect choice for adding the warmth of nylon-string acoustic tone to your music.
The action is smooth and the neck very easy to play. The action is 1/8 inch at the 12th fret.
If I didn't have a Mark VI to play, I would not be selling this guitar. It doesn’t make sense for it to sit under my bed, time for someone to enjoy it. This is a great American made guitar.
Do a search on YouTube for Kenny Rankin, he was a professional singer / guitarist. He played a Pearwood Mark IV for years exclusively.
One Thousand plus shipping (@$100 additional). Giving dibs to the Guild guys, then onto Reverb, for $1000+. Only ships to the United States, lower 48!
thanks
Tom
