Love this guitar! Everyone likes pics, right? This guitar is nearly all original except for a refret with EVO Gold fret wire and supposedly the pickups have been potted to reduce feedback prior to my ownership.

How does the potting sound/ feel? The Bridge pickup of my 64 starfire is really microphonic...

I have not played a guitar with the same pickups other than this one so I don't have much to compare too. With that said, I firmly believe these are some of the best pickups I've heard in any electric I've played.

I can still get some feedback if I'm using a fuzz pedal and stand in a particular spot in my music room. Otherwise they are quiet and sound incredible. I do tend to turn the presence setting down to the 8 or 9 o'clock position on my amp with this guitar.

That guitar has been loved on well, as in rode on hard and often.

Those pickups, if original, were encased in epoxy from the factory.
