Rick from Guitar Guys in Heath, Ohio called me about 7 pm to tell me he had a "guitar" ready for me. I at first assumed he meant the JF30-12 that Guild offered to replace the broken F212. I said great man, prepare yourself for a manly hug tomorrow. He said, good, I need it since we're getting stiffed (meaning Guitar Guys). It seems Guild has backed off the offer and expects Guitar Guys to take one from their stock, which they did, reversed nut, had a pickup installed. I have no idea what model it is. I know they had a F512 (Tacoma) but I doubt if that'll happen. Guild I guess has said they will "work something out with them".
Rick, Joe, and Brandon (owners) have been friends to me for years, treated me great. I feel bad now that they're getting short ended. I told Rick just to hold off until Guild comes through but he had already made the conversion and said my patience was beyond the call of duty.
So all I know at this point is that tomorrow I go pick up a 12 string, but not the JF30-12. Oh well

Well, now you have my curiousity piqued, AB. Good luck.

(they'd be a little nutso to give you an F-412 or F-512, just on cost basis alone)

I'm going to head up there around 10:30 this morning. I can't imagine it'll be anything like a Tacoma guitar, but the last time I was in there, I think about 3 weeks ago maybe(?), the only other 12 string Guild was a F512.
I'll update as soon as I strum it for awhile after I get back home.

Right........'You guys'
Once upon a time the Lone Ranger and Tonto were riding thru a valley....then from all directions hundreds of Indians riding furiously towards them, with war paint on, spears in hand, others with bow and arrows at the ready.....Lone Ranger turns to Tonto and says, "My God Tonto....what'll we do?"
Tonto says back......"What you mean 'we' white man."  Steffan

And when all was said and done, they took off the mask. At long last they removed the mask.... And dang... there lay Michael Jackson...

It's a JF30-12 after all. It seems Rick had bought a JF30-12 and placed it back "for himself". When Guild told him it may be up to 6 months until one becomes available for me, he stepped up to the plate.
IT IS AWESOME!!!!!

Sorry I didn't get back yesterday. Scratch inspired me to set up a Soundclick page (Soundclick.com/billy reiter), so I got involved in that and then we went to a 4th of July party down the road at some friends (the moonshine spiked apple juice was delicious).
Got home around 10:45 p and promptly went to my practice room and strummed this beauty some more.

I'm going to post pictures on the Acoustic forum....
