Rick from Guitar Guys in Heath, Ohio called me about 7 pm to tell me he had a "guitar" ready for me. I at first assumed he meant the JF30-12 that Guild offered to replace the broken F212. I said great man, prepare yourself for a manly hug tomorrow. He said, good, I need it since we're getting stiffed (meaning Guitar Guys). It seems Guild has backed off the offer and expects Guitar Guys to take one from their stock, which they did, reversed nut, had a pickup installed. I have no idea what model it is. I know they had a F512 (Tacoma) but I doubt if that'll happen. Guild I guess has said they will "work something out with them".
Rick, Joe, and Brandon (owners) have been friends to me for years, treated me great. I feel bad now that they're getting short ended. I told Rick just to hold off until Guild comes through but he had already made the conversion and said my patience was beyond the call of duty.
So all I know at this point is that tomorrow I go pick up a 12 string, but not the JF30-12. Oh well
