What acoustic are you playing today?

Now I’m down to two guitars it’s time for me to bring out my Mule Resophonic. Total different vibe than my 12 strings.

Guild F412 vs Martin D35-12 vs Guild JF55-12

I don't feel as if they are the same. The JF55-12 has 10's I know because Dan (Longnose Gar) left a package of the 1st strings in the box and the F412 are slightly heavier. I don't know what they are size wise or brand for that matter. I got that guitar from Sound Pure. I have never changed the...

Is acoustic guitar an old man's instrument today?

No, especially a 12 string. Especially a Jumbo or a Dread. You need strong fingers and flexible shoulders. Lots of “old” men are dumping their dreads and Jumbos because of the later. They go to an OM or OOO or even a OO. So possibly those guitars.

Guild F412 vs Martin D35-12 vs Guild JF55-12

I’ve always liked comparison videos. But Guild vs Martin I don’t often see. These are videos of guitars that I own. Since one is a Martin if the video is deemed inappropriate due to not being Guild please delete. Tunes played are approximately the same. I added my JF55-12 that I bought from Dan...

    Closed Guild F412 Tacoma made

The dark area is in the finish because it’s under the lacquer. It looks like that’s how it came out of the factory.

    Closed Guild F412 Tacoma made

I have a video of what the guitar looks like and sounds like from YouTube. Links will be here. I really want to have a good 6 string again. Price is $2395. I’ll discount shipping to $100. I think the going rate is around $150. Or shoot a trade offer for a 6 string. Looking for a Martin D35 or 28...

Did someone here purchase the Orpheum off SoundPure.

No. I talked to Barrett Brooks, the guitar specialist manager. I should have asked. He just got it in today and it sold the same day. He also got a f-512 that the luthier is getting ready for selling from the same person.

Not Much Interest Here, In A Guild 8 String Baritone.

I am interested in an 8 string bari. But this one is a Taylor. The Guild baritone 8 string are Chinese correct? The one I’m looking at has a mahogany top with Blackwood back and sides. I’ll check out the Chinese Guild.

    JF55-12 vs F-412 video

If that Oxnard F512 is anything like my recently acquired Oxnard F40, I would bet it’s built lighter and very loud. The weight difference especially is probably very noticeable between it and your JF65-12.

Thank you. I use my bare fingers. I have never used finger picks but I should to get an even balance. Yes, that’s why I have both.

    JF55-12 vs F-412 video

Nothing like a Guild Jumbo 12 string. Yours was set up beautifully. It’s perfect for me with just bare fingers and no thumb pick. I used the thumb pick for the volume. But I can feel your style of play by the way this was set up. It’s delicate and meant to be amplified.

F-512 Archback Brazilian rosewood with Florentine inlays.

How would the laminate be made? Unless that’s a carved BRZ RW back. Now that’s some major bucks.
