    Guild Westerly 1993 D-100 vs 2019 D-55

Thank you for that detailed comparison, and it all makes perfect sense. And I see you’re fairly new to LTG so allow me to welcome you to LTG as well (y)

NGD - 1980 Guild D-50 Antique Burst ( courtesy of Mr. Peterson )

HNGD! Killer acquisition there, just beautiful. That era of Guild bursts are awesome imo, looks just like my ‘80 D25, congrats!

Looking for a JF-100 nt crv

Welcome to LTG! For a sec I thought wait, he might be in luck, I just saw one recently! But alas it was a D100, not the JF100 with the heel carve in the neck joint. Nice looking guitar in its own right though...

Patrick Sky's (rare) "Clear" songbook on eBay

I never heard of him either, and of course, the first video of him I find has him playing a Guild, although with a G shield and no fretboard inlays, hmmm:

    Holy mislabled, Batman!

That top looks real nice, black pickguard, check! If it’s got no major issues, what’s not to like for that price, I agree. Although in the other thread, you had said: What is the nut width on these 73 212XLs? Hope that doesn’t ruin it. Last, what’s that on the headstock just left of the TRC...

    Do You Name Your Guitars?

Oh dang, I forgot, I did name one of mine! 🤣. My M120 I named “the lake guitar” as it’s the one I take down to the lake!

    Holy mislabled, Batman!

They put the wrong picture up for what they are actually selling? Has the GC sent you any pics of the actual guitar? Sounds like you bought it and will know soon enough anyway huh? Very exciting, fingers crossed🤞

    F-47 (NH) & RW bridgeplate

Thank you for that, helped my clouded head.;) Admittedly I never consider the bridge plate material, though that makes me wonder, does Guild use any rosewood bridge plates today?

    F-47 (NH) & RW bridgeplate

I know what the bridge plate is, just that post 11 didn’t clear it up, and post 13 seems to contradict that as far as materials used on the F47, so why I asked the OP for his clarification.

Trying to pinpoint the year and place

Indeed that is an Oxnard from 2024, and a fabulous instrument! I love mine :)

    F-47 (NH) & RW bridgeplate

Good insight, and I agree with a proper fitting saddle, especially since I recently replaced a slightly loose one on that D4 and whoa what a difference. Just to clarify, your post mentions the rosewood bridge ‘plate’, did you mean bridge?

    Double D-35 NGD

Yea, but wait til you get your rosewood unicorn, you’ll think rosewood is the shiznit. I mean heck, Guild charged more for it as it were.

If only they invented a disappearing plastic skeleton where it vanishes on its own after playing it for some time.

    F50 Pick Guard Question

You kinda have the outline of the original right there on the top. :) That temporary one looks ok, not a bad start.

    Double D-35 NGD

You’re missing out! I just came to the realization my F30r has such a great low end and is really the classic acoustic sound in my head. And it’s smaller than my dreads! My hog guitars are great, but don’t thump as much as rosewood, they are more woody and mellow. I think my birth year guitar...
