Just bought a guild F25 . I quite like it. It’s much brighter sounding than I expected. Serial number looks like ‘87 but it is also stamped 3-88 on headstock. Could that be the date?

Anybody know how much headstock repair costs nowadays? Specifically spindle style, wherein the luthier sands two trenches with a bobbin sander then glued matching wood in there.
