I highly prefer large bobbin single coils to humbuckers . CC Is a great pickup. I like dearmonds, P-90s, P-13s, Hilo trons speed bumps , bigsby, C.A,R. etc . CC into an octal amp would be a fantastic sound!! I am assuming your X-170 has buckers, do correct me if I am wrong
