I’m with you. They’ll be checked in at the separate “oversized luggage” counter.

Thanks, I concur. I’ve got some real small bubble wrap I’ll stuff in the cases, and as the other gentleman said I’ll “ hope for the best.” 🤞🏼

    You have to fight them?

I’ve owned six Guilds, from high-end to not so high, and all them were very close to just right when I received them. He must have gotten one that somebody left outside. 😃

    Traveling by air

Hi all, Have a travel case question. Working in Dubai (live in Florida) and over the past several years I’ve bought a couple very nice guitars, both from Germany. Now I have to get them home. I took them to FedEx for a quote, and shipping for the D140 is almost $720, right at $680 for the OM120...

    Oxnard D-20 neck issues?

Thanks! I have two, both "off-shore" Guilds and they're amazing in every way I believe I'll do as you suggest, and watch for a older D25

    Oxnard D-20 neck issues?

Question: I'd like to hear your opinions of the new Oxnard D-20..Heard anything bad about the neck strength? I love mahogany..and am currently shopping for one...I ask this question because, some guy on one of the sites (ZZounds) gave it one of the worst (and oddest) reviews I've ever seen. Is...

    D-20 Oxnard...Opinions?

Just got a line on a California-built (2020) D-20 (burst). I have a Guild OM 'hog, but would really like a dread, as well. Unfortunately, I've found the YouTube reviews are basically advertisements, not "reviews". A reviewer on ZZounds claimed to have problems with the neck bending...What can...

Martin 0015m vs Guild USA M20

Beautiful, JZ...The SM was my dream guitar for many years. I finally settled on the OM-120, though, and I've never regretted it. If I could change anything about it, it would be to change the high-gloss to satin.

Martin 0015m vs Guild USA M20

I agree with Jedzep on the extra kick out of the 000 vs the 00 Martin. The 00015 has a narrower nut than the Guild, though. If you want a 'hog Martin with the same 1-3/4" nut width as the M-20, you'll need to go for the 000-15SM (slotted headstock). In my personal opinion, though, the M-20 can...

    D-150 nut width changes?

Hi friends, I'm indulging my acute GAS, and am looking at picking up another guitar to entertain myself...I'm trapped out in the desert, and the Guilds available to me (without 300-500 USD shipping and CITES fees) are very few. My question is this: Do any of you know if the D-150 with the...

New guitar, strap button hole too large

The tape idea worked perfectly! Good thinking. Thank you.

New guitar, strap button hole too large

Thanks for replying! It's clearly intended to be a friction fit, but it goes in all the way to the base with no friction at all...Falls right out. . It looks like I need to just seal the button in with silicone caulk. The wrench is just a coincidence, being in the same bag as the button. It...

New guitar, strap button hole too large

Hi, just received my new OM-120, and man, it's lovely.....Unfortunately, the strap button came loose (in a baggie with the Allen wrench), and factory-drilled hole is just a hair (or two) too large. Y'all have any ideas on how to fix this? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Lowell
