    I still have them on my JF 30, into the second week, they are nice for finger picking, not a warm tone but nice for blues picking. I still think I prefer DR Rares bluegrass gauge best on this guitar but I'm giving it more time

    D-50 versus D-55

    I just was fortunate enough to try a 1979 Guild D50 and a 1979 Guild D55 (probably the same owner) at a store here in Seattle. The D50 was deeper and louder while the D55 was chimier. Frankly I preferred the sound of the D50. Both were in great condition
