    WTB 50s Archtop Pickguard

My 56 A-50 is almost done being restored and I'm looking for a pickguard for it. No pickup on it and I plan to keep it that way.

    Recording a Thunder 1 RVT

I’m going record my ‘35 diddly bow through my ‘60 Champ and my ‘70 S-100 through my ‘67 Thunder 1 RVT today. We’ll mic the reverb speaker separately from the 12” speaker. I might try the diddly bow through the Thunder 1 too, using heavy reverb. This should be a fun afternoon.

    Recording a Tweedy Bird

Guildedagain's thread on the solid/chambered section got me wondering... has anyone ever recorded with a Tweedy Bird? If so, how did it work out? Any tips?

    Thunderbass Studio Recording

Recording bass parts for my album with my Thunderbass today. We have one microphone on the speaker, one 30 ft. away, and a DI. My Supro Pocket Bass sounds just like a stand up bass with this setup. Love this amp.

    White Pickguard

No one chimed in on the other thread so I'll try here. Anyone ever heard of a white pickguard on a '50s Guild archtop? I never have, and Hans' book doesn't mention any.

    56 A50

I tried doing a search on LTG for a Guild A50 with little luck. I found some price lists and some info about the A50's electrifying brother, the X50. I'm looking at a '56 A50 in kind of rough, but playable, condition. It'll need some work, and I'll have to shell out some dough for sure. What are...

Anyone Ever Seen One Of These?

Anybody ever seen one of these before? It measures 7 in. by 6-1/2 in. by 3-1/2 in. It looks like an old 5 channel PA amp, but it's so tiny... why 5 channels? The speaker is a 3 in. speaker. The middle knob appears to be a volume-on/off. The left knob has 5 positions and the right knob appears to...

    Ampeg B-25 vs. Guild Thunderbass

I'm heading to the studio on Dec. 28 to lay down drum and bass tracks for a recording project I'm in the midst of. I want to mic an amp instead of having the engineer run a direct line to the board. I can take my Ampeg B25b or my Guild Thunderbass (the one I bought from a fellow LTGer). I know...

    WTB Wanted: 1970 D44 Bridge

Looking for a bridge for the D44 project I posted about a month or so ago. I’m ready to move on that. I see a NOS Guild bridge from that era on Reverb, but it’s footprint is a little smaller. If I can’t find the right one, that one will work. Cosmetics won’t be a big factor with this project...

    Vermonter’s D-44 Repair Thread

This is going to be a lot of work. I removed the non-original pick gaurd and found a patch of epoxy or something. Luckily, it will get hidden by the new pick guard when that gets done. It looks like someone installed this pick guard over unfinished wood after they stripped the guitar, then...

    Guild? Acoustic With Interesting Repairs

I picked this guitar up to save it because I think it might be a Guild. If it is, the serial number dates it as a 1970. Is it a Guild? No label inside. Is it maple? It has several patches inside and a notable electrical tape patch on the back, along with fuzzies from the case liner. The pick...

    Superbird II

Finally got around to picking this up. I bought it a few months ago. Can’t wait to mess around with the fuzz...

    Tweety Bird For Sale

I have clean, functioning Tweety Bird for sale. For LTGers, the first $100 gets it shipped to you in the continental US. Foam cover is gone, like always. Works perfect. Batteries not included.

    1953 X-220

I received the X-220 I bought on Reverb and it’s in a little rougher shape than I’d hoped. Non-original stuff includes the tuners, back binding, heel cap, neck binding, nut, bridge, tailpiece, and pick guard. There are more cracks than what I could see on the pictures on Reverb. The finish is...

    ‘67 Thunderbass

‘67 Thunderbass Here’s my new baby. I parked it in my studio next to my ‘71 Twin.

    Thunderbass

My new Thunderbass arrived today. I’ll try posting pictures. This amp is filthy but it should clean up quite nicely. No tears in the tolex. All knobs look solid. It really needs a cleaning, inside and out. I’ll get it checked out in a week or so.

    Guild Model Three Amp

I’m trying to work a deal on a Model Three amp. Anyone know anything about them? Pretty sparse info on the Interwebs. Thanks!!

    Guild Masteramp

I just picked up an early Guild Masteramp. It’s at the tech’s place right now for a going through. I talked with him last night and he said this is a very early Guild amp and it has no power transformer. I’m looking for any info on this, especially if there are any schematics available anywhere...
