    WTB Hoboken F-47

Something looks very wrong there, as the label has a ‘90s-later sticker? Also isn’t that an F48?

    Custom F-412 BL (SRV Unplugged)

The tuners appear to be original, they are pat pending Grovers (I’m not a tuner expert but I think this means 1960s manufacture?). In any case, the tuners are similar/the same and feature the same high up the headstock orientation of another ‘69 F412 I used to have. Also note Paul Simon’s ‘68...

I prefer all-original as much as possible, but I’m also a realist. I actually also prefer an acoustic guitar strap to be tied to the headstock vs the back of neck, in terms of balance and feel. However, if I get a vintage guitar that has a strap button, I simply use it- like my ‘66 Gibson J50...

Yep it can be inconsistent. In this case, I actually emailed Hans when I was looking at buying the guitar when it was local to me. He confirmed 1970. RE: Westerly, I don't believe any Guild was made at Hoboken by 1969 (waiting for Hans to chime in and tell me I'm wrong LOL). The transition...

Also worth noting that a '69 would not be Hoboken (but would likely have a Hoboken label). If I recall, yours is actually a 1970 FYI. Still a very cool early Westerly though.

The primary issue was not the bridge but the previous need for a neck reset “hidden”, and not factored into the price. The saddle was low and the strings were too close to the top on the guitar. RE: prices, I saw that F47 I bought marked down to something like $2200 recently for a couple weeks...

The bridge on the one at Austin Vintage looks original to me.

I’ll let the guy know someone is interested, but when I backed out of the deal, he said he was glad because he wants to keep it ha. He actually also has a ‘67 F50 (not the same guy) but he’s not gonna entertain selling that one at all. The ‘67 I bought was actually a super bummer deal for me...

Austin Vintage Guitars has a ‘67 for $2750 (I got them down to $2400 but did not go through with the deal), and vintagemandolin.com has a ‘66 for $3300. Both appear all original to me. I also was in talks with someone about buying a ‘65 for $2500. That price is firm and not 100% sure the guy...

Hope everyone here is well! Looking for a ‘66-‘68 D40, D44, F47, or F50, or ‘68 D35. Will pay fair price. Thanks for any leads! Best, Donny

    Guild D44 Purchase Advice

That first ‘60s one looks like a Hoboken ‘65 to me. ^ *from the Reverb ad above. I would go for that one over the ‘73 for sure.

    ‘70 D25

It’s s good one but I won’t be keeping it LOL. I’ve got my eye on another ($$$).

Yep, I found a (very expensive) guitar that's something of my holy grail that I'm trying to get ... they come and go fast from here as many of you know LOL.

Damn, yep LOL ... I've had my mind on D35s too long ...

I think you may be right in a technical sense (though I really have no idea), "chipboard" is just the common term. Some people say "cardboard case".

Yep I have a KLH Model 24 setup, I've had it for years and it sounds really good!

    ‘70 D25

It’s pretty light, about the same as most ‘60s era D40s etc I’ve had. The ‘68 D35 was by far the lightest. I would bet it wasn’t even 4 lbs.
