    When you find "The One"

Thanks. I already have 3-4 sets ready to go. It's a fun and yet aggravating experience. My other guitar is maple so this is almost the obverse situation, tone-wise.

    When you find "The One"

I bought a GV-52 last year. My first rosewood guitar ever and only my second Guild acoustic. For a variety of reasons I have not spent a lot of time with it. It took a wile to get it set up the way I wanted it. But now . . . Golly. The sound, the feel/playability. It's just amazing. I...

What acoustic are you playing today?

I have been playing a Yamaha “snakehead” F-170 which might be 50 years old. She’s a lively little gal. I was gonna sell it but may have a niece who is interested. These are great guitars and this one is in good shape. I bought during the pandemic and learned to play finger style (not well, but...

    Casein picks

Thank you for the tip. I have a couple of John Pearse "Fast Turtles" and like the heavier one a lot. I would like to try a Charmed life but the price has put me off.

Saddle and radius size for Guild GV 52

Hello folks. I stupidly misplaced my saddle when I got interrupted by a home-office move. Does anyone know what radius the top is? Is it important to replace only with a non-compensated saddle? And is the width 3/32 or just a little less than that (it looks like 3/32" on my ruler, but online...

    WTB 12 string electric guitar

Starfire XII was my first good guitar. Emerald green, 67. It had issues … but the SOUND. OMG. I tried Ric’s and they sound great but the nut width is tough for me. When the economy collapses I will get a vintage SF XII.

    GV 52 en route.

I don't have calipers, but the nut width is 1-11/16" String height at 12th fret is a shade over 3/32"/3mm.

    GV 52 en route.

Update with pics: This is the first rosewood guitar I have ever owned, and I am duly impressed with the sound. It’s only the second Guild acoustic I have ever owned (fourth Guild overall). Owner did not mention the pickup, which sounds decent (active but no EQ). Only real damage apart from a...

    GV 52 en route.

To Adorshki -- Yes; I have wanted a Guild for so long, and I was having trouble finding a GF-60 rosewood or a GV-52 and have heard great things about the new F40 Traditional. In the end I dropped out at a low price because I decided to wait for what I really wanted. I have been close a few...

    GV 52 en route.

Just bought a GV-52 on Reverb. Will update on arrival. I was next-to-last bidder on an F40 Traditional on eBay and dropped out on a great deal for some reason. The next day, my dream guitar fell in my lap. I’m really excited!!
