Lennon's Framus Hootenanny 12 String Found

This is the UK where climate is mild and attic temperatures may not be extreme. I have several guitars stored in my mother's attic (Germany) for about 40 years now and they are still in the same shape as then.

    Josh White slothead.

There is only brief mention of Ovation, but they kept on producing and re-issuing their Josh White guitar for decades after his fame passed as FD14, 6774, and 1114 and 1614 Folklore model. https://www.si.edu/object/josh-white-model-guitar-and-case-owned-josh-white:nmaahc_2021.107ab...

Six new phosphor bronze string sets to try on the D-55

I assume all straight PB no coating etc? Of these I have tried Pearse and previous generation Adamas on my Ovation 12 string and I liked them both. But since then I have switched to coated PB d'addario for my Ovations and NB for Guilds.

    Let's Talk About the Sun

Nice, so the sun in this has a diameter of roughly 15m and Earth about 14cm, only 1.6 km away from the sun. In contrast the furthest planet Neptune is 54cm diameter and 51km away from sun.

    Let's Talk About the Sun

The astromical dimensions sure stretch the mind. Just attempt build a model of the solar system with planet sizes and distances to scale.

Is my 2004 Strat now considered “vintage”

I consider vintage early models from a brand in their early configuration before they were mucked around with by marketing departments. For example some pre war Gibson and Martin acoustics, 50s Les Pauls, or pre-CBS strats.

Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson conversing at Massey Hall

I have been watching the Time Machine movie on Amazon over a few nights this week. Just incredible playing. I don't think think they had an album that I did not consider amazing.

    Jumbo Run Down

The string question is very valid. For comparison of guitars they should all be strung with same strings at same time. But store experience will be different. I remember in a store playing a bunch of Gibsons all with dead strings and horrible sound. I complained to sales person and he said that...

    Guild Owned by Yamaha?

It is notable that in the statement below they mention ukulele players. There is a huge global ukulele player community, and surprisingly Yamaha so far has not had a line of Ukuleles though this is very popular in Japan. However there is a full line of Cordoba ukes and it makes me wonder if one...

So since the takeover have there been any notable changes or NEWS? Were there any new acoustics presented at NAMM?

    Orchestra Model / Grand Auditorium

I don't think that we need to fit Guild guitars into size and shape classifications from other brands like Martin or Taylor. I kinda like that they can stay on their merits. We will see if Oxnard will release additional sizes that were popular in the past.
