Has anyone played these? I've been using D'Addario Silk and Steel, and the LaBella Silk and Steel sets are expensiver (not quite Thomasik prices) on my '67 F-212

Do I remember correctly that '70s (or later) Guilds with HB-1 pickups were able to be coil-split ... is this difficult to do? I'm thinking about having a guitar built, and I would like it to have an HB-1, but I would love the ability to move between humbucker and single coil sound ... Thanks

I saw an Orpheum 12-string for sale, but I've been unable to find any video/sound files for one ... Has anyone had the opportunity to compare an Orpheum 12 with F-512s (or F-212XLs)?

it's about time to re-sting my '61 starfire III ... i was listening to a Rev. Horton Heat interview, and he extolled the virtues of flatwound strings on his 6120 ... but he also said that in them olden days, guys used heavier gauge strings (there weren't really light gauge ones then, I suppose)...

I saw a 2000 blue-green M-70 for sale on Reverb a couple of days ago for around 2 grand ... and a few of the Fiesta Red (like my 1999er) ones show up occasionally ... I know that some of the LTG crowd has owned some ... but I have never seen numbers on how many were made ... any thoughts?

I saw an at at Rivington Guitars for a '92 Pilot with "switches on the pickups" .... are these just on/off or something else?

I'm giving SERIOUS thought to having the folks at Mule Resophonic Guitars build me a Mulecaster ... but since it will be mine, I want to load her up with some Guild pups ... My '61 Starfire III has DeArmond Dynasonics, so I'm good there ... but ... let's say I had the Mule guys put an (original)...
