As a Guild fan what would be your advice to the new owners of the brand?

"As a Guild fan what would be your advice to the new owners of the brand?" Don't F (ender) it up.

    Fender sells Guild.

I thought about this earlier. There's a local music store here in my country that carries Cordoba guitars. Hopefully, they start selling Guilds (both GAD and US) soon, as well. The only known acoustic guitar brands that the store sells are Cordoba and Alvarez. If it happens, it won't be the...

Cordoba Music Goup Announces Plan To Purchase Guild From FMIC

Didn't see this news posted yet, aside from a reference about horns. CORDOBA MUSIC GROUP ANNOUNCES PLAN TO PURCHASE GUILD BRAND FROM FENDER MUSICAL INSTRUMENT CORPORATION SANTA MONICA, CA (May 6, 2014) – Cordoba Music Group, the manufacturer of Cordoba acoustic guitars, ukuleles and...

Fender to close New Hartford operations

Suddenly felt the urge to embrace my Guild. :( Was there ever a U.S. acoustic guitar company that's moved plant locations as many times as Guild?

Wow, Medium gauge strings saved my D35...

Sounds excellent! I want to try mediums on mine, but I'm afraid the guitar would collapse on itself. The bracing needs to be reglued first!

    D25 v. D35 Sonic quick comparison.

I love my D35, but I'm gonna have to go with the D25.

We're back, & yes, we were hacked.

Thank you, Don, and everyone who worked on the site's return! Now excuse me while I drool on other people's guitars. ;)

So I had the soundhole pickups from my D35 removed...

It's really amber like. I have been thinking of having it refinished to a sunburst. I'm not concerned with resale value anyway cos she's a keeper. :) If what I read here and online is any indication, then I think it needs a neck reset. But I can still play the heck out of it. It's got some work...

So I had the soundhole pickups from my D35 removed...

The backstory of my D35: http://www.letstalkguild.com/ltg/showthread.php?175762-New-member-Guild-owner My guitar came with a Fishman Rare Earth pickup when I bought it early this year. I barely got to use it because I don't do gigs yet, nor do I have an acoustic amp to use it on. The previous...

Hannah Cohen and a Guild D__

She's one of my current favorite singer/songwriters. She used to play a Martin. Now a Guild. Can anyone ID the Guild dread she plays? http://youtu.be/jnQdBSYnltk

    Mahogany ?

It's still very popular here for wood carvings and furniture. A believe there's a luthier in one of the cities here that uses it for the acoustic guitars that he builds.

    D15 for me!

Ah, yes. The arched laminated back reinforces it. Thanks all! And congrats again, Daveyo! :)
