    Best looking Guild Solid Body

Not too heavy. It is thin and chambered, but solidly built.

How many Guild JV72 guitars are accounted for?

According to the serial number chart, 23 of these were produced. In excellent condition, I think $3,500 - $4,000 is a fair price. These are spectacular guitars. I owned 2 at one time, but just have one now.

    Paloma - Strings

Thanks for the good information. Should I be using lighter gauge strings on this guitar? I usually use .13s on my flattop acoustics, but I use .11s on my Peregrine. I was wondering if I should similarly use lighter strings on the Paloma since I don’t have to worry about projection.

    Paloma - Strings

I will be posting a NGD thread for the Paloma I recently acquired shortly. But I need to change the strings first. This is my first “classical” style guitar, but given it is a stage guitar that needs to be plugged in, I don’t know what would be the best strings for it. I assume any nylon set...

    Early 1980s Guild D80NT

Condition will largely determine value. Does yours have a carved heel? It is a rare and desirable model. I love mine, which is #11

    Carbon Fiber double neck

I considered having a Rick Turner Renaissance double-neck built for me, but in a rare moment of lucidity I changed my mind. It would be cool to own a double neck, but my back would not like it, and it would be silly playing it sitting down.

What's your choice for a clip on tuner?

They are super accurate, easy to use, have a thin profile, and a great display.

What's your choice for a clip on tuner?

These are great, but I prefer the Unitune version. The Polytune function is useless on 12 strings.

    Safety first

Some of us already have a spare tire that we carry around with us, so that one would be superfluous.

    GV-72?

I have never seen a picture of a GV72 or one listed for sale. I have seen GV70s incorrectly described as GV72s, and both models appear to share the same serial number prefixes. I have read that it is similar to the GV70, but with blue turquoise dot inlays and rosette. But until I actually see...
